Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to some of the most common questions we get asked by our clients.
DO NOT EDIT
Is this email dodgy?
If it looks dodgy then in 99% of cases it is.
Does the true senders address look familiar? Is the grammar and spelling correct?
Is the contents something that you would normally expect from the supposed sender?
If in doubt, delete. If it was a genuine e-mail, the sender will attempt to contact you again.
Should I upgrade to the latest version of my software?
Generally, it is best to hold off on upgrading to the latest version of your operating system or major apps for a period.
This allows for any bugs to be ironed out, as even though a lot of testing happens, there are always unforeseen issues.
Any security updates are automatically applied so there is no security issue with staying with the current version, generally.
Is “Cloud Computing” the best option for my business?
Moving on premises file storage and e-mail to The Cloud can be of benefit for some businesses.
It is recommended to assess the move in a realistic manner and a return on investment analysis be conducted to ensure the advantages and disadvantages are fully realised.
If moving to Cloud, there is a period of adjustment for staff also as they become accustomed to the new systems.
